Hospital Bag Pack-List 2020

Hello and Welcome! 2020 has been a crazy year for everyone and those who have already given birth in 2020 can attest your labor and delivery will sadly look a little different. That doesn’t mean it can’t be an amazing experience and you can’t be prepared. Right now most hospitals policies are rather strict (and it doesn’t look to be changing soon 2021 mommies!). Many hospitals will only allow you to stay for a uncomplicated vaginal birth, obviously C-section you will be staying longer but they will try to get you in and out. It also means no visitors and the one or two people you are allowed to have in the room are not able to leave at all. (so be prepared if you’re in labor for a long time, pack something to feed and entertain yourself and your significant other is helpful important)

Many of the items for baby are not required by any means. Be sure to ask your hospital what they will provide you, you may only need to bring one outfit for the way home and a swaddle only if you have a specific one you want the baby to wear.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy this article, remember in 2020 we are only staying for 24 hours and only one visitor is policy at most hospitals (and they don’t get to leave the room, so snacks are a must) with that being said you don’t need to bring as much as you normally would or you may have with your previous baby!
